Going for a spin...on 1 wheel?

I've been taking the unicycle out as and when - but because it's such an attention grabber, I hardly get a chance to practice and I rarely get the concentrated time to devote to such an intensively focussed skill.

Shame my brother doesn't live closer to me, because it would have been great to have had his unicycling support.

However, I'm organising some training time with an experienced unicyclist (my local hero - I chased him in the car!) and that should hopefully get the cogs turning! ~;[] I'm hoping it's achievable and runs in the family!

Playing The Game; So What!

The Youth Scotland Training Essentials event was fantastic.

I applied for the Games workshop and the Evaluation and Outcomes workshop - hence the title of my post!

Well done to the organisers - YS, LAYC and Midlothian Council for providing stimulating workshops, giving participants transferable skills and knowledge which they can in turn utilise in their various youth settings.

These workshops have enhanced my personal and professional growth in my both my voluntary and W&A youth work positions.

Youth Training event

I have been offered a place on the 'Youth Scotland Training Essentials Midlothian' event.

I am really excited about this one-day quality training event which commences this Saturday at the Newbattle Community Learning Centre in Newtongrange. It will be delivered in partnership by Youth Scotland, LAYC and Midlothian Council.

I will be attending 2 workshops: 'Games, Games, Games' and 'Evaluations and Outcomes' which will be instrumental to my continuing professional development, both in my W&A and voluntary Youth Work positions.

Look on the bright side!

I am in the process of a lot of admin. work and the transferral of data. I am still attempting to re-type or try to save many corrupted files which sadly includes Major pieces of unfinished work. The viruses have caused a lot of lost man hours and heartache. It is a slow, painstaking process and time is not something I can afford to waste.

Virus creators are very sad people trying to sabotage the livliehoods of genuinely hardworking people. They need to get total perspective on their life before it's too late and it comes crashing down around their ears.

I am enjoying using a new computer that has been gifted to me. THANK YOU!! There are a few more things that need to be tweaked, downloaded and adjusted, but what a joy after a very frustrating journey over the last few months!

It's time to look on the bright side of life.
